July 2 thru July 6 2015

Thursday morning was a time to go out to breakfast and say so long to Paula and Rick until we see them in Florida in January for our next Habitat Builds.
Roy Barrire joined us for breakfast and then Tracy, Bro, Larry and I headed on a day trip to Seneca Falls.    Stopped at an Amish market and of course bought more spices, cheese and other things that we really didn't need. On into Seneca Falls and had a picnic at the park by the Erie Canal. The Canal is closed at the moment due to all the rain causing a lot of debris coming down the water.,  Went to a museum about Seneca Falls and the knitting factory .  On the way back we stopped for Ice Cream.

Friday was our day with Beth and Don. We drove up to Sodus NY to the Chimney Bluffs state park.  This is on Lake Ontario and it is beautiful.  The cliffs of course are affected by the changing of the water, the wind and snow.  We walked along the shoreline and watched a lot of boats out in the lake. It brought back a lot of memories of our time in Holland on Lake Michigan.  We had lunch at Captain Jack's on the water and then went and climbed the lighthouse.

Saturday we had planned a cookout for later in the day at Saulsgiver's house so most of the day we just too it slow.   Played a couple of games of farkel and taught them to play phase 10.  Several of their friends came for the cookout of Hobo pies.   They are really nice people. One of the couples had two little boys and had brought fireworks so we had our on show.

Sunday we went to church with Beth and Don and then out to lunch joined by Larry and Tracy.   We drove up the lake to a winery and had lunch outside.  There are lots and lots of winery  up there.  After we said so long to Beth and Don we went back and started packing up for the trip home on Monday and Tuesday.  Stopped by another set of their friends , Helen and Ed for pie and then went back to Saulsgivers.

Monday morning we left and hooked up the car at the fire station and started on our journey home. We decided to take a different route this time down US 15 through Pennsylvania and it was a beautiful drive and so little traffic. We drove that to Harrisburg and picked up INT 81 there. We were going to stop somewhere overnight but since everything was moving along so good we decided to come on home. Got in about 6:30 and have been busy every since.

It was a wonderful trip and our Hosts, the Saulsgivers and Cutter/Hickman did everything possible to see that we had a good time and they DID>>>

Thanks guys,
