Monday April 6 2015

After celebrating Easter at the Methodist Church with Sarah and Jerry Boss we had lunch at the campground with Ernie, Carol, Mike(the dwarf), Thomas, Beth and Don.
Later in the afternoon we went out to see Nikki and Joey and meet some of his family.

On saturday I asked "Miss Boots" the cat if she was going to bring the kittens out to see us and low and behold she did just that.  Sunday morning we had both of the little kittens under out awning.
Miss Georgia who really owns this cat who has adopted us came over on Sunday afternoon and got them and plans to raise them.

Monday morning we are trying to pack up and leave and Miss Boots is very unhappy with us. She actually was standing in front of the motorhome when we drove out of the park.  She finally did move.
We traveled to St. Marys Georgia and got settled in the RV Park.. Don and Beth Hickman arrived shortly after us and later we drove into the little town of St. Marys.   Now the plan was to call my cousin later as they were arriving from Atlanta area that day also.   Would you believe when we walked into the St. Mary's Seafood restaurant there they sat.   We had dinner that was absolutely wonderful.  The shrimp was GREAT, some of the best I have had in a long time .

Tuesday we rode the ferry over to Cumberland Island for the day.   Walking around the ruins of the Carnegie Home Dungeness was great. We could have spent more time on the Island but due to it being Spring Break for the people of the "north" the ferry was very booked.

Wednesday morning we traveled on to Savannah Georgia. After getting settled we went to Tybee Island , Larry and I love lighthouses and have climbed several. This one is 178 steps and we all four climbed to the top.   The view was great of the Atlantic Ocean and we also saw several ships coming into the Savannah River to unload,We all had a great afternoon on Tybee Island.

Thursday morning we were picked up at the campground by the Old Town Trolley system out of Savannah which was the right thing to do and went into historic Savannah for the day.  We toured the old historic district, had lunch at "The Lady and Sons" restaurant which belongs to Paula Dean.
What a disappointment.   I can say BEEN THERE DONE THAT.   I know a lot many good southern cooks and that place is not one of them. Oh well!!!!!!!!

Friday finds us on the road again and Larry and I are now stopped in Lexington NC  at one of our favorite Wal Marts for the night.   We needed some groceries plus needed to finish up some paperwork for the renting/leasing of our house, The couple will meet us on Sunday to sign it,
