July 6 thru August 6 2016

Can't believe it has been has been a month since I last posted here but I guess it has been a BUSY month.
After we got back from New York it was surgery on my eye to remove a secondary cataract.  I had been complaining since my cataract surgery five years ago that I couldn't see any better out of my left eye.   Every time I went to have it checked I was told no we just need to change your glasses.  Well, that sure worked, Ha Ha.   Finally I found out from Larry's eye surgery that I did indeed have a problem.   All is well now.

We have spent most of the time trying to live with the HEAT here in Virginia and getting a lots of things done before we leave on the next trip.

Larry had to rebuild the clutch on his tractor a  1953  Ford Golden Jubilee . He had never done anything like that and is pretty proud of himself.   He did a great job and "Henry" as he calls it is working well again.  There was work to be done such as cutting grass around the pond and the area where they like to target shoot plus we needed to cut more firewood for winter and he uses Henry to pull the logs up to behind the shop so it can be split.   He cuts down the trees in the woods , then drags it up with all the branches, cuts and splits and I stack.   We also wanted to check out our furniture that is stored to be sure we had no mold or and other problems.    We actually had a list of things to get done and have accomplished them all.

We came up to Fredericksburg yesterday to stay a few days at Linda and Randy Burdette's campground, ha ha, they have a place for us to park with full hookups for the motorhome.   Madie Paige, our 16 year old granddaughter was in the Country Showdown Music Contest last night with 13 other people and was chosen one of the top 7 to compete tonight .  Ally and her family have been in DC all week and are planning on coming down to hear Madie sing and play her guitar tonight.

We have leased/rented our house for the next year to a really nice young couple with 3 girls, plus they are having an exchange student from Belgium to live with them for this next school year and we will meet her on Saturday when we go back home.

We will be leaving Virginia on Tuesday August 11 traveling to Cincinnati Ohio for a few days, on to Indianapolis and then Kalamazoo Michigan to do another Habitat for Humanity Build. After that we will visit in Holland, Howell, Mason Michigan and then to Adrian Mi for another build,

I will keep you posted on what is happening with us.
