September 13 2015, 2015 Cach up from August 6

Wow  it has been a BUSY time.

We left Virginia on August 11 and arrived in Cincinnati Ohio at the FMCA campground. Spent a couple of days there enjoying pizza at La Rosa's and also checking out the Cincinnati chili for which they are famous. A little side trip to Ikea for Ally to get a shelf for the girls study area.
Arrive in Indy on Friday afternoon and set up and attended the Indiana State Fair that night with the family.   They enjoyed the rides and the junk food.
Saturday was a down day with a cookout that night with the Termain family.
Sunday we cooked pound cakes, put a shelf together and just did projects around the house.
Monday we left for Kalamazoo Mi to start a habitat for humanity build.
The affiliate had us for a meet and greet with a nice dinner. We had not met any of the people working on this build before.   We worked there for 2 weeks with lots of fun in between. Had lunch with a high school friend of Bryant's, Jose (kiki) Santermaria, visited John and Janie Bare, who we had build with in Florida, Sarah and Jerry Boss came also. John gave me fresh tomatoes from their garden.  We loved working with the future home owner and all the volunteer people .  Some of the people we enjoyed were Justin, Mikie and Lee.

On Sunday August 30 we left and traveled up to Holland, Mi. Got set up at Dutch Treat and will be here for a little over a week.  Heather Winia came to see us, she is like a second daughter. She and Ally were in highschool together. Had dinner with Peggy and Doug Fairchild and got more goodies such as jelly, salsa, tomatoes etc.
We had a wonderful week just visiting and catching up with old friends.  Bullards, Mary Terpstra, Troegers, Marvin Younger, Jerry Cawthra. Fabers and I am sure I have left someone out. Ally and family came up for Labor Day weekend and we really enjoyed them.  Got to take the kids to the peanut store and on a dune schooner ride in Sagatuck. They enjoyed the beach very much. Ally got to get her bath in her "holy water", Lake Michigan.  We had a cookout at the campground on Saturday night and had a great time.  Cawthra, Heather's family and Ally's family.
Now we are in Adrian Mi getting ready to start another Habitat for Humanity build for the next 2 weeks and then back to Indy for a few days before going home to Virginia for a short time before we head out again.
